Inland Marine Coverages
Navigators provides INLAND MARINE coverages for Artisan/trade contractors for
both commercial and residential work. It is designed to meet the needs of small
artisan contactors conducting business within the trades and construction
industry. 10% credit available for the risks that are written with General
Liability on the Victory Program There is not limit on size of Non Internet
policies. Policies may be written for one year and renewed annually.
Policies may be written for one year and renewed annually.
Tract work is not a worry in this program.

Navigators Inland Marine offers small artisan and service
contractors. The program targets those contractors with real property that
supports their construction operations. Office and warehouse exposures must
represent the majority of the occupancies written. When office or light retail
exposures cohabitate with the contractor's office or warehouse occupancies,
coverage will be provided. However, high hazard occupancies will not be
entertained. Must be written with the general liability coverage. The program
provides coverage for contractor's equipment, office contents, installation
property and/or electronic data processing equipment exposures.

GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION
Inland Marine & Property Coverages:
Writing Office Contents, Miscellaneous Tools and Small Equipment, Computer
Systems (Equipment, Data & Media and Extra Expense), Scheduled Equipment
(Light, Medium & Heavy), Installation Floater (10,000 minimum value) and
Rented/Leased Equipment (from others). ALSO, 5 packaged options to choose from.
General Liability Coverage:
If you have elected to use the online submission process to create a package
with General Liability coverages you can get a 10% Credit on the Inland Marine
premiums. GL coverage would include Premises/Operations with selected limit of
insurance including Product/Completed Operations, Personal Injury &
Advertising Injury, Fire Damage - $50,000 and Medical Expense - $5,000 coverage
is provided on an occurrence basis. Minimum limits are $1,000,000 Occurrence
and $1,000,000 aggregate. Maximum limits are $1,000,000 Occurrence and
$2,000,000 Aggregate.
Deductible:
Varies with coverages provided and deductibles selected.
Risk Cancelled or Non-renewed by Other
Company:
Please refer any risk that has been cancelled or non-renewed to Builders &
Tradesmen's Insurance Services prior to submission. We ask that full
information regarding the reason for cancellation or non-renewal and the
conditions or preventive steps taken by the applicant be provided.
Audit Basis:
Inland Marine premiums and exposures are not subject to final audit but an
inspection will be made after a policy is bound.
Waiver of Premium:
Additional or return premium account balances of $10.00 or less will be waived.
Cancellations:
Policies will be cancelled Pro rate (without penalties) when policy is
cancelled for the following reasons:
• At the request of the company
• Nonpayment of premium
• Insured no longer has a financial or insurable interest in the property or
business operation.
When a policy is cancelled for any reason other than outlined above, a penalty
of 10% of the pro rate unearned premium will apply.
Payment Options:
BTIS financed - BTIS can arrange premium financing. Simply print & sign the
online finance agreement and fax along with your binding documents to
916-772-9292.
Full annual premium -The producer may withhold commission and
remit net payment in full.
Producer financed -The producer may arrange financing with
their vendor of choice.
Certificates of Insurance:
If adding as additional insured OR special wording is required on the
Certificate, such request must be referred to BTIS for approval. Evidence of
insurance can be provided by the agent.
Additional Insured Guidelines:
Usually not applicable to Inland Marine or Property coverages.
Loss Payee & Lenders Loss Payee forms
Usually Available upon request. In most cases Agent can process Evidence of
Coverage or Loss Payee form in their office
Renewals from prior online submission:
To submit a renewal for renewal quoting, please go online (if the policy was
quoted online in the prior policy period) and search for your prior year's
submission. This should be in "incomplete" status and ready for editing. If
not, please notify us by "Live Support Chat" or email as you should get an
immediate response that way. A CSR or your Underwriter can then open it for you
to edit. You can then start the process and submit to your Underwriter for a
renewal quote. Policies will not be renewed unless requested by the insured or
producer, along with the appropriate documents & down payment. To avoid a
lapse in coverage, payment must be received prior to the expiration date.
Payments received after the renewal date will be renewed as effective on the
date payment is received by the company (lapse in coverage). Payments received
more than 14 days from the renewal date will be returned with no coverage
afforded.

Reinstatement with a Lapse in Coverage Guidelines:
To avoid a lapse in coverage, all outstanding issues must be addressed and/or
payments must be received by Builders & Tradesmen's Insurance Services
prior to the cancellation date.
No coverage is bound without prior approval from
Navigators. NAVIGATORS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DENY ANY REQUEST FOR
REINSTATEMENT.

Can I write
B licensed contractors in this program?
As long as they are not performing prohibited operations the B licensed
contractors are eligible for the Navigators Inland Marine program.

do I bind a policy?
Fax over your request to bind, including the desired effective date, along with
the bind documents requested online (signed by both the agent and the insured)
to 916-772-9292. Be sure to indicate which of the 3 payment options you have
chosen. You must also submit proof of payment in the form of your check, the
client's check, or a signed finance agreement. If an online submission, to get
to your binding documents, go online and select your submission then click on
the blue binding documents button. If submitted by Acord form,
please fax the binding docs requested on your quote received from the
Underwriter.
